trainings and workshops

The Hazards Centre believes that to be able to facilitate a vibrant public discourse around issues of justice, it is crucial to reach out and engage with a wide range of groups. This includes urban poor communities with whom we organize a range of trainings and workshops. And also middle-class groups, students, law and policy makers, media persons with whom we hold consultations, workshops and tours, seminars, lectures and press conferences.

with urban poor communities

Being a support group, one of our most important roles is to organize meetings with urban poor communities to provide them with diverse sets of information and skills, which they need in order to act upon own problems…

One of the key constituencies in our outreach efforts is the middle-class, which is largely detached from concerns of the poor. We feel that it is vital to break this apathy, and we recognize the greatest potential to do so among young students.
